The thread about player´s fav music inspired me to this question - Do you know some webs with ww2 music? I mean something like this:

or this:

If you have or use Limewire you can DL lots of music from the era.  I have about 2.5Gigs of Big Band music.  Plus you can search for Cadances, though most of those are more modern.

Schostakovich's 7th Symphony was written in Lenningrad, durng the siege and is a musical interpretation of the siege and its effects. A little harsh for my ears but for a true interpretation of war at it's worse always worth a listen.

P.s. There are plenty of sites on the net which will have this free to listen to

Don't forget the novelty numbers. Spike Jones has 2 that come to mind: In Der Furer's Face, and My Daddy is a General to me....

The general tells the Colonel what the the Major has to hear.
The Major tells the Captain what is for the louie's ear.
The louie tells the sarge to get the corporal on the run--
who tells it to my dad who gets it done....
That's why my daddy is a general to me....[;)]
