Newbie question about game scenarios

I'm learning the game by playing my first scenario (Guadalcanal). I assumed it ended on the given date, but I've got reinforcements scheduled far after the end date. Is that just a historical date given for the battle, or will the game stop on 2/7/42? Thanks.....

The game will stop at the given end date.

Don't you mean 2/7/43 for an end date?
"You can't stack units in this game. This is Tactics II, hexes haven't been invented yet..."
