Editing/Editor?

Sense BoB and BoR are going to share the same game engine with different data /maps, is there any chance of an editor? There nothing like a editor to keep a good game going?

Requested Editor Functions:
1. Ability to edit and add new aircraft types.
2. Ability to add/change aircraft air art
3. Edit production/weapon values


BoR events, I never liked how the allies would automatically take over places (based on dates) on the map no matter how well the Germanys did. I would like to see this based on victory points/level and not automatic based on dates.

I replied to some of this in the other post

1. part of the reason I stated
2. won't need a editor to do this, should be able to do this from the art side
3. we did a lot of work to get most of this into the data side of the game, but some is still locked with in the code also, and production is tricker then it may seem, some are linked between 3 different data files and then to the map and then to the code, and if any one of these areas is not right, it don't work

so again, right now, nothing is planned for the release, but, down the road, it will depend on what Harley thinks and has the time to get to, which if anybody can do it, Harley can, but one of the things we have done from the beginning is to try to get as much as we could out of the code and into the data, so it will be able to correct or change from the data side, with out needed to do a major code patch

not sure that is what you wanted to hear, but it is the thinking right now and the why behind it
