2000 Hours
Well it has been over a year since our last battle out side Paris. We shipped out soon after the last bettle to the desert here. We have been training in desert warfare for the last year. We have gotten alot of green replacements plus additions to our armor as well. In less then five minutes we will begin our advance against the British. There is a heavy sandstorm which will limit the speed of our advance. But visability is still about 250 yards.
Two companys are to advance against the northern objectves while one company takes the southern most objective. It wil be slow going and the enemy will appear at the last minute so slow is best. Move wait and see if the enemy appears clear then move again. During our break we were able to get aassigned to us a company of assault tanks the ones with the 75 mm gun. Plus a company of light tank destroyers as well. Should give us more kick then we had before.
The company of Marines we had before has been removed and another company of Besaglieri has been assigned. Gives us 3 full companys of them now. We are a grand sight in our new uniforms when we go on parade around here. Plus the Engineers have been replaced by platoons of Guastatori more kick there as well.
I hear the whistles blowing the men are preparing to begin the push forward. Hope this day goes well for us and the British get there rears kicked back to merry old England.

Dont know riun about this enhanced dont really like not knowing what my artty is doing. And it seems so dam cut back for some reason. No splash damage to speak of at all. Every body says there is no willy meter anymore but I see it appearing on some of my units. Keeps making me think maybe I screwed up my install of enhanced for some reason. I am one of those guys that know nothng about the computors so I keep lookin for the things i messed up not the things that go right. Ive read all the posts about artty effectiveness here so I went to 130 on my settings. Just these dern Italians need alot more help then all my other froces in this long long campign.[:D][:D][:D][:D]

We have been goin at it for 45 minutes right now. We are not gettin the best of it either. The British have all of a suden sent a mess of tanks at us. So far i feel as tho we have taken out at least 25 to 30 of there tanks. The only thing is we have more then likely lost at least 10 pieces of our armor as well. Our troops once again have gone to ground and refuse to fight. There artty is devastating to the fighting efficiency of our men. All across the battle field all you can see of our men are there rears sticking up from there fox holes.
Once again our non coms are spending all there time trying to kick some fighting spirit back into these spineless fools. We are sorely out numbered in armor and the ability to destroy theres. Our gunners on our light Tank destroyers are usless. They are unable to put a shell on to any of the enemy armor. Then once they have commited to fire the return fire from the British is always right on target. The only piece of armor we have that is having luck against the British armor is our 75mm assault tank. For some reason our troops dont have the ability to assault the enemy armor even as it almost runs them over. So far none of the Gaustatori have been in the right place to use there satchel charges.
Once again this battle is in question I will continue to give it all I have but dont look for miracles today. Following is a photo of some of the might the British have unleashed against us today. This is just a small section of the right flank of our line near the center. This is also happening on the extreme south flank and the north flank as well. They are overrunning our lines from the north to the south. Our men are begining to retreat all along our front.

I'm wishing for u to have bought some Air cover,,,and maybe alot more ATG units!! we have to talk more about why?? u spread your units like jam across the whole map,your fighting a meeting engagement,,,an advance,,, shouldn't u have your units more condensed for a wedged "breaking throu" type of deploy,,all the enemy is doing is an effective pre-bombardment in front of its 2-3 pronged {aimed at VH groups}Blitzkreig,, u might think I'm insane for suggesting the British would use a german opperating doctrine against u but thats what this game engine knows how to do best!! I would have put as many of the heavyest armed infantry or engineer type units on the backs of the largest gunned and overall speedyest tanks i could purchase,, and run them forward in small but fast zig-zags at the same advance rate as your recon.

A company which has taken the brunt of the British tank attack have all but been eliminated. They have been pushed back off there objective and are in full retreat. We do not have much left of our armor as well and really have nothing to stop the british attack. B company in the south have been overrun as well and are begining to retreat. There objectives that they held up too about 15 minutes ago have been overrun by the Briitsh as well. C company in the north is the only company that is still holding the british at bay. Im afraid this wont last much longer tho. Once the british have annilhilated A in the center and turn all there attention on to them. Then B too will begin to break and start to run.
I am afraid that once again our men were not up to the task of whipping the enemy. They just dont seem to be able to shoot straight at all. This is the major problem facing us our inability to hit what we see. The inability to assault enemy tanks as they come right up to us and begin to shoot and kill our men. Plus we dont have enough experience as yet. We dont know how to stay alive very well at all. If we can manage to get some what of an experienced core then i believe we will be an awsome force to reckon with.
Sir i am doing the best with what I have to work with. We are inflicting heavy losses to the enemy just not enough tho it seems.
Had some radio activity a while ago. Got word a German armor company heard our battle goin on awhile ago. They asked if we minded if they came over and joined in if we could use there help. Needless to say I radioed right back and told them to get here as quick as possible. They are on there way how long to get here I dont really know. It will have to be with in the next half hour if they expect to find anyone alive here.

Man the outcome of this battle is very bleak indeed. A co in the north has all but been eliminated. Maybe 3 or four half squads left to there whole company.
Hell B and C are not in any better shape. We have a total of four tanks and ATG left that can even move around. And two of those have lost there main gun. The British tanks are just roamin around the battle field killin anything that pops up near them. They have gotten into our back field and begun to take out our Morter dumps. A co has lost all there morters to this kind of inhumane treatment.
Sent a scout back a while ago to try and find the German Panzer unit that was comin to help us. He said he found them sitting along side the road wipeing the dirt off there tanks. Said they needed to look good goin into battle. Hell if they take much longer we will be all dead and the British will be gone back to where ever they go to after beating the crap out of someone.
A few minutes ago three enemy tanks chased what was left of a squad from C CO right up to where three of our auto cannons where sitting. They did not give a dam about those cannons even firing at them as all they ever do is miss anyways. Our gunners are undoubtly the worst shots in the world let alone the Italian army. The tanks got to within 50 feet and our gunners took at least 4 shots each at all three of the tanks and never bounced a single shot off of them. Guess the enemy felt so bad for our gunners they just turned around and left them sitting on the little hill they were on. Are they were laughing so hard they couldnt see to shoot at them.
This has went on all day like this us shooting and missing and them shooting and blowing us to hell. Some of our men tho have shown exceptional courage. Even when surrounded our men fought to the death taking out some of the enemy with them as they went down. As those behemoths they call tanks circled them they thru hand grenades trying to take them out. Now what about that courage.
Our losses are staggering today at least 107 units have been completely destroyed so far. And im sure the British monsters are not done with there blood letting. If the dam Germans dont get here soon we wont have a man standing. I have given orders there is to be no surrendering today we will fight to the last man if need be. I have put on my pistol as the enemy is geting very near to our 152mm dump that I have as my Head Quarters.

Why this hell is still goin on I dont know. We are beat and we are beat bad. We will not be able to take any of our objectives. We just dont have anybody left to move on to the objectives. Everybody is either dead or hiding to keep from dying from those relentles tanks as they roam the battle field shooting and killing anything that dares to come out of hiding. Italians literally make a carpet of dead bodies all across the battlefield.
This has been one of Italys worst days. Mussolini will be very pissed today. My head will be on the chopping block. Hell I might not even have to worry about that I dont think im going to make it out of here alive today, I know that we have taken out near 70 of there tanks but they still keep coming at us. There is no end to them it seems. It will take quite some time for this force to be back up to strength. From reports I am getting we are down to about 19% readiness.

The slaughter is over at last the british have left the field.I have no idea why i wasnt much of a threat to them. A lot of our comrads are no longer with us. We loss 929 good men plus 7 artty and 75 AFvs. Our brave men fought hard and well tho we took out 929 of there men one arttty and 72 tanks. Today was a blood fest of a very high magnitude. I never want to fight another fight like this again in my life.
Got word from HQ that they are goin to call this a draw. Whay I dont know we never had a single objective and our losses were just as high as theres. The only thing is we lost junk for tanks and they lost some very good tanks.
We will have a month off and then we are to set up a defensive line just out side of Bir Hacheim. We must keep the British from hooking up with the troops at Tobruk. Have been told we will not get any replacement tanks for the ones we lost for awhile. A lot of green troops will meet us out side of Bir Hacheim. I will have a month to try and get them ready to meet the British.
