couple questions for you folks

Post by Dagobert »

Hi,
First of all, how does the tutorial campaign listed under 'other campaigns' work? It's not the same one that's in the manual is it?
Secondly, I can't seem to close the game normally, never have. If I go to the setup screen after starting the game the 'escape' option dissappears. The game saves okay but I have to alt-tab and then close it. Anyone else have this happen? thanks

All you have to do to exit is press the "escape" button on your keyboard while in the Main Menu screen.

Thanks but no dice. Even the phrase 'press escape to return to DOS' is missing and the button has no effect. It's there at the beginning, but not when I return to the setup menu after saving or in any way leaving the game.
I should probably re-download from scratch eh?

Hello...

Going to 'Setup" by pressing the ESC button is not how you end the game. This button allows you to change sides or game balance.

To leave the game, select 'Quit Battle" from the Utility menu. Then answer yes, when asked if you are sure. You will then end up in the initial screen. From there, press the ESC key to exit to DOS/Windows.

Have Fun...

The 'Tutorial' Scenario is exactly like the original OBC41 from the 1992 release version of the game except that it uses the latest graphics and utilizes everything gained from the Matrix Patch.

So, if you are just starting off in the game, you can use the tutorial scenario and all the ships, lcu's, aircraft will have the exact same name, statistics, locations and numbers as the original.

Sorry, never used the tutorial and thought it was for the OBC41! Do'h! I guess I will have to get to work on it then!
