Hello,

This has been a problem ever since the very first release of PacWar. You need something like 608K of memory free under DOS to be absolute sure that it won't happen. Suggestions on how to get this is available under several earlier threads. Try searching for 'Out of memory' and you should find some advice. Hope it helps.

I fixed my own problem with the out of memory warning: I edited the config.sys (Win 98)now it looks like this,

DOS=HIGH,UMB
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE AUTO RAM MIN=0
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
STACKS=0,0
SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM /E:1024 /P

Memory went from 597,something to 626,432

From my previous post please switch the emm386.exe line below the himem.sys line, it should read like this! Sorry!

DOS=HIGH,UMB
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE AUTO RAM MIN=0
STACKS=0,0
SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM /E:1024 /P
