Download Version?

Why is the download version still 1.0?

It kind of sucks you wait 20 hrs just to download the game (can't get any better than 3.2Kbps from DR servers, and then have to download the patch [8|]

There is only one 11mb patch to be downloaded from matrix ftp, which should faster then DR ..when it works [;)].. also don't forget to load 1.205u hot fix - watch sticked thread..

I feel your pain.  I too hate these very slow download speeds.  I guess it's cheaper for the companies to do it this way and we suffer.  I did the downloads for WPO and WITP while I slept.  I can't think of another cure for this problem.

I guess I just don't understand why the download version isn't the latest version!

That would be to easy.  The company posts the game, distributes a disk and then patches are posted later for you to retrieve.  The process saves $ for them.
