Moving Army HQs by Sea

Post by Steve Keifer »

Can you load an Army HQ on a TF and move it by sea? I am having a little problem with this. Are there certain ships you need in the TF to make it work?

You can't move Army HQs at all by sea. You can only move NAVAL HQs by loading them on a TF, but the only reason to do that is if the target of the TF is far away. Just use the move HQ command, its a lot easier.

Really! So that means that someone like Japanese 16th Army HQ, which starts on an island, can never move from it's startup spot, right? If its units get really far away I assume you just have to re-attach them to a closer HQ. That seems to be the only alternative.

Steve,
You *can* move the Army HQ. Change the destination base so it is attached to the HQ you want to move. Click on the 'HQ' button on the lower right, then click on 'relocate HQ' and the headquarters teleports - er, I mean immediately flies, to the new location.

This option does not work if another HQ is already camped out in the destination base.

Just use '/' to see a list of key commands, if you prefer to use the keyboard. The move HQ command I referred to is listed there.
