AI difficulty levels?

Post by Kadorak »

Just curious what the difference between AI difficulty levels is. If I want a fairly historical game without using 'gamey' tactics, should I use the 'historical' AI setting, or one of the higher ones?

Historical = no advantage at all.

Hard = the AI will know where your forces are. It will know the destination of your TF's as well.

Very Hard = same as "hard" + the AI will get bonuses in combat.

EDIT: I think most of us who play vs the AI use the "Very Hard" option. I only use the "Hard" though but I do not abuse the poor AI [8D]

on Hard, AI will also get logistical bonuses but no combat bonuses.

I only use the "historical" AI setting, but then I handicap myself by playing through the cocktail hour...
