Editor question

Post by Nightcrawler »

I get the impression that the editor can be used to edit saved games in order to raise sunk ships, etc. What file do you open to do this? If I edit obc41, isn't that just changing the settings for Campaign 41, rather than a particular saved game? If I were to change that, wouldn't it effect all my campaign 41 games, not just the one I'm playing around with? I guess that's why they instruct you to save a copy of the original obc41, to keep this from happening (and also to undo screwups).

I'm still getting use to this editor program, and I've been playing the game since the first version came out.

From what I understand, Yes if you edit the obc41 file that will change the campaign start-up. To edit a saved game choose the save game file with no extension.

example: "C:\pacwar\savea. "

Hope this helps.
