Not really a Update, update

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

I looked at that screenie and the first thing I thought of is where is the button to assign it to a carrier? I mean, it's a real doppelganger for a WITP or WPO menu, isn't it? [;)]

Well, maybe that's a good thing. Sheesh, it's been so long since I played those Talonsoft games maybe the OLD screens looked that that too! [:D]

HS -  couple of questions on targets & icons - what is the icon in the Paris shot in the NE part of the city that looks like 3 little houses with a blockhouse on the bottom & in Vienna what is the one in the center of the city as well as south of the city next to the 2 aircraft plants that look like 2 RR tracks don't recognize it from old version & don't have game with me? Are there going to be any new kinds of targets or just more available in the current types?

The icon in Paris should be the local air division headquarter, at least such a symbol was used in BoB. The Vienna items are probably Rail FlaK stationed there.

hehe, you may not of seen one of those before, that is a GE HQ, that is the Luft 3 HQ, from what I remember, it is not a real target, but it can get hit by mistake

the RR track one, is RR Flak

for new types of targets, you got anything in mind ? we only have a few slots open, but something else could be added

mainly been trying to get the placement of targets better and more of what should be in the area, which to be honest, we are never going to get right

It's the look I was going for - the TS interface was pretty abysmal, and I liked the look of UV/WITP and more particularly WPO. Case-in-point - I used and abused screenshots from WPO to create placeholders for the first beta. Matrix provided the WPO artist and he's done a remarkable job making this look totally new, while keeping the familiar WPO feel.

Hard Sarge,

Re your post dated 19.01.07 of unit data page

Could you explain please at what phase of a turn you would be able to see entries against "Aircraft landing ", " Aircraft flying", "Aircraft Taking Off" and "Aircraft Fueling" and how would you be able to view this info during the turn. This appear to be new info and not in the original BTR , or am I mistaken?

Many Thanks

Hi David

overall, I think it always been there, just not many people think to use it

during a turn, you can go to the summery screen and then the OOB button, that will bring up all the units, clicking on one will bring up the unit page and let you see what is going on

here is a B-17 Group just after a Raid

Well, to be honest, it just got to the target and is heading back, you can see how many planes are in the air and how many were grounded

now this is the 4th and they are landing, they did okay, getting 4 kills, but losing one of there own

I did the same thing, but from the Unit page opened up the Pilot page to see how they did

which you can see, if they had another mission to fly, there are 11 planes ready to fly, there are 22 that need to be fueled up, 15 have some kind of damage and need minor repairs, and most times these can be fixed during the day and will be then moved to the ready line, there are 23 that are for Repair, these will be worked on and either moved to the ready line or into the reserve line

over all, the game will try to have a full set of planes ready to fly, in this case 48, if has more planes ready then it needs to fly, they will be place in reserve, but you will get times where you will have lot of planes that need to be worked on
