The Bright Side to All This

Look, I know we're all bummed-out by Shaun's recent news, but I try to look at the bright side. I'm sorry to sound so selfish, but now I'm settling into an everyday-manager career mode, and it is rewarding, very very rewarding. [;)]

I don't get bored with playing out each game, even though the background sounds are always the same. The ballparks change, yes, but the fans are equally enthusiastic no matter where I am.

As many of you have figured out, I have a romanticized and nostalgic view towards baseball, and I'm not about to apologize for it. When I'm playing out a game, yes, I try my damnedest to win, but, win or lose, there's no where else I'd rather be at that moment.

As for 1.51's depiction of that world, plus what the modders have provided as enhancements to it, I love it. It isn't a perfect game (there is no such creature), but I'm satisfied with it enough to play out hundreds of games in my quest to establish a virtual baseball dynasty.

(Note: if this isn't a testimonial for the virtues of Pure-Sim, I don't know what IS. [:D])
