When playing a scenario, such as guadalcanal, does the AI respond only to victory point level, or does the historical dates and events factor in the decision when and if computer opponent changes an objective. :)

As far as I have seen the computer will not do things according to historical dates. IT looks at what is available and at the current situation and makes decisions accordingly. For instance, the computer will NOT necessarily launch a massive attack against Midway with 4 carriers and a diversionary attack against the Aleutions during the week of June 4th. That attack in real life was in response to the Doolittle raid and the Battle of the Coral Sea. If those events dont happen in the game then the computer wont take those events into consideration.

Basically you are making WW2 up as you go!!
