Somewhat OT - If not WitP, then which wargame has best AI?

Post by stljeffbb »

Hi everyone....OK, I really love the depth of WitP (and the DOS predecessors PacWar, WiR, etc.), but based on some responses, the AI is not so "grand".....if not WitP, then which wargames have the best "AI" or at least the best script writing since AI is typically a misnomer for computer games

Thanks,

Jeff

Pong...of course, that one wasn't bug free either but AI was pretty good.

Hi all,

Best AI by far (as far as I saw) is in Panther Games's / Matrix's "Conquest of the Aegean" (i.e. CotA) and it's predacessor "Highway to the Reich" (i.e. HttR)!

Best AI - any title with "PBEM"....although the turn resolution can be dreadfully slow.[;)]

I agree, CotA's AI is fearsome.

Carriers At War has always been known for one of the best AIs ever created. I have to say that I 'm looking forward to the new version.
