Close Combat - Cross of Iron is based on Atomic Games award Winning Close Combat Series. Close Combat is a real time game were you take command of German or Soviet squads on the Eastern Front during World War II. This version is being developed by CSO Simtek and will include many new features and improvements.

Hey guys,

What MODs do you reccomend...Im starting a GD mod campaign playing for the Wermatch on hero difficult level and the first battle was really tough, with an agressive AI and huge russian teams.

Is DOF2 really that great? Cause the mappack is huge! [X(]

But this is really a personal choice thing. I love mods that have fewer tanks in the game. Like Real Romanians and the Real Infantry mod that is in testing at the moment.

If you want a change of pace...and a drastic change of scenery and tactics...try Afrika Mod. I'm not sure if Afrika has been modified for CoI though.
