Cancel Building Construction - How?

How does one reverse a building construction mistake? Accidentially caused the wrong building to be started in a city. No "END TURN" yet so I should be able to correct my mousing error. ...like backspace for unit movement. Can not seem to find how in the manual or posts. Anyone please help

You can undo anything but undo does not work on any screen like city detail or city list. If you make a mistake exit to the main map, click backspace it'll tell you that it undid development. Then you can go back to the city screen. not perfect but works.
