The bugs in this game are getting more and more ridicoulos! And I´m not talking about errors in the database or such stuff! I´m talking about things that are just plain wrong with this product!

After having the sync bug that resolved itself after a couple of turns (for what reaso ever) [:@] I´ve got now another bug in my PBEM against John 3rd.

The combat reports of Japanese and Allied are identical but they´re both not what´s happening in the game!

What's the point of showing the combat reports if they're not what happened in the game...?[8|]

I don´t know if I understand you... [8|]

What´s my point? The point is, that I´m having losses although the fights didn´t happen in the game. That´s the point. And that´s why I´m showing you the combat report. I don´t know what you are thinking I´m up to? [&:]

and here is the operational report: I deleted the sightings and left over this:

OPERATIONAL REPORT FOR 12/18/41

PO2 Hirano R. of F1/Yamada Daitai is credited with kill number 2
PO2 Minegishi S. of F1/Yamada Daitai is credited with kill number 2
FO Lewis W. of AVG is credited with kill number 2
LTJG Sakai, S. of F1/Tainan Daitai is credited with kill number 2
WO Shimakawa, M. of F1/Tainan Daitai is credited with kill number 2
LTJG Kurakane R. of F1/Yamada Daitai is credited with kill number 2
Chengtu expands airfield to size 2

so while there aren´t any fights in the replay nor in both combat reports, there are kills listed in the air loss list and the operational report.

Anyone had seen this before??[8|]

Castor,

Normally you see this when planes are destroyed as part of transport OR recon missions.

Check my AAR for an example of this. In one day I shot down over 30 Soviet transports and a load of naval search and recon missions. ALL of the planes shot down on those mission types do NOT show up in the combat report or replay, they ONLY show up on the losses screen ( as A2A losses) and in the operations report.

Since you can't have fighters fly these sorts of missions and you are saying it is happening to fighters I am stumped.

I also see recons or transports shot down flying missions that don´t show up in the loss list. That´s something I´m used to. But with my Warhawks shot down... [8|] Don´t know where this comes from.

It can happen if you have LRCAP in the hex to which you are transporting. The transports aren't escorted exactly but there is interaction between opposing CAPs. I've seen it a number of times where a vicious air battle occured during transport, and the only place it showed up was in the loss listings. I don't think it's a bug, just a combat that didin't make it to the text file.

I read your combat report and I noticed what you complaining about since your combat reports show no P-40 types involved in combat yet you suffered air to air losses?[&:]

This is indeed a weird bug or something I have never seen before.

Night Time Surface Combat at 39,75

Allied aircraft
no flights

Allied aircraft losses
SOC-3 Seagull: 2 destroyed

Japanese Ships
CA Maya
CA Ashigara
CL Yura
CL Kinu
DD Yudachi
DD Hatsuharu
DD Asakaze
DD Matsukaze

Allied Ships
CL Boise, Shell hits 2, and is sunk
DD John D. Edwards, Shell hits 2, and is sunk

Did you really loose the Boise to 2 shell hits? After that long screed about the invincible Boise last week - you are indeed an unlucky guy.

I read your combat report and I noticed what you complaining about since your combat reports show no P-40 types involved in combat yet you suffered air to air losses?[&:]

This is indeed a weird bug or something I have never seen before.

Night Time Surface Combat at 39,75

Allied aircraft
no flights

Allied aircraft losses
SOC-3 Seagull: 2 destroyed

Japanese Ships
CA Maya
CA Ashigara
CL Yura
CL Kinu
DD Yudachi
DD Hatsuharu
DD Asakaze
DD Matsukaze

Allied Ships
CL Boise, Shell hits 2, and is sunk
DD John D. Edwards, Shell hits 2, and is sunk

Did you really loose the Boise to 2 shell hits? After that long screed about the invincible Boise last week - you are indeed an unlucky guy.

no this is another story. Could have cried about it on the forum but decided not to do that. The Boise, another CA and several DDs were supposed to retire to Darwin, set to react 0. For what reason ever, the AI decided that it would be a good idea to send this TF to Amboina where a TF with 2BBs and several CAs was waiting for it. [8|]

Of course the Boise and the CA with all the DDs was shot to pieces in two fights. This is just a follow up battle.

I believe CAP, sweeps and escorts fly during the transport phase. You could have A2A losses there. I think you could aslo have them on Recon missions.

You are really pressing the limits of credibility here. The AI didn't send your TF to Amboina. You did. Making this claim brings in to question all of the other stuff you are complaining about. IMHO.

Yeah I really wanted to blame my recent disaster with my carriers on a bug. I would have sworn that I had set my ships properly. I would have bet $100!!!!!!

But I've started the practice of saving every turn before I end the turn for my opponents save. I went back to my save and well......it was sort of my fault.[&:]

Still I could swear that I set those orders. But memory lies---the saves don't.
