Spectrobes Nintendo Ds

Post by jeorge »

Has anyone here heard of Spectrobes, the new Nintendo DS game that's released around march?
From what I've read and seen so far it looks like an amazing game It looks a little like Pokemon but with a more sci-fi edge to it.

here are some youtube vids of the game

yeah I mean where does he get off asking and posting about games in a game company's general forum right?

You are a definite credit to matrix games' outreach efforts Terminal. It is true young Jeorge does not seem much a hardcore wargamer type, but all that said the market will never grow if everytime they come to this place they get the "I AM HYPERGROGNARD" routine. If your digs are at his use of youtube you should get used to and accept the fact that things such as that and myspace are for better/and/or worse here to stay.

I thought you were supposed to be "netcop" and "captain diplomacy" enraged at Rune and myself over our comportment and zeal in attacking 'those with different views than ourselves".....

I do so wish you'd look in a mirror on outbursts such as these. "Spectrobes" is not a direct competitor with Matrix Games genre or platforms, there is little harm in this topic. The nerve of some people.

I can't get the 'Island of Dr. Moreau' Hank and Lester out of my mind.....

*chilling narrator voice*

"Imagine a place where they could take the best genes of the greatest examples of Stultus Saxum genemapped and melded into something that looked almost human. Few can be ready for the terror of the 'Island of Dr. Leroy the Sarge-9-1'. Coming soon to a forum near you."

ah cheer up old pip, Terminal is still relatively new to me, and quite frankly was beneath my notice right up until he did his best to get 'noticed'.....

He actually really did offend me this time though, he is in theory "team member" for several projects and complains about forum decorum at length then has the gall to start calling people who are relatively new in forum posts if not date of joining "spammers" when the post is nothing of the sort. A "spammer" is someone like Slivery Willow or "Les' Best Friend" that posts zero content or blatant adverts ad infinitum, Jeorge does NOT fit the bill if you look over his few posts. This means that Terminal is being a tad overzealous in his self-appointed role as "netcop".

Frankly, it also undermines our host on this forum. If there is one severe flaw in our wargaming community it is that at times it seems the mainstream has passed us by, there are a multitude of reasons for this and several of them depress me, but we will be unable to win ANY converts to keep the business we all love to whatever degree in business if everytime a "young"(in posts if not birth age) poster dips their foot in the water, especially in this our psuedo "ot" forum not dedicated to any games, they get called a spammer by a troll. At the end of the day Mr. Heath and Matrix is in business to make games and expand their market share, that the old AoW was becoming a distraction from this was one of the reasons I along with others decided to move the "insane asylum" offsite.

Terminal wants to play netcop he is going to get critiqued when he misfires until I am told to either stop by the powers that be, or he remembers that this is not his personal playpen where he gets to demand behavior and posting content.

Hope all is well in Jolly Ole' for you, hadn't fenced with you in a bit and was wondering if you were ok.

Good seeing you,
sven

and it shows your character and intellect that you are unable to deal with even valid criticism Terminal.

You seem rather proud of "WPO, FoF and CF Beta Test Team member " and in all likelihood rightfully so, of course given your proclivity for being a total headcase with regards to criticism for no reason on this forum you are doing at a minimum a disservice to David Heath and Matrix and in all liklhood the games you carry in your nick as well. I quit posting on SPWAW as much because I had disgraced my ability to be seen as a "good rep for the game" in my eyes with my political ranting under this nick in the old AoW. It got to the point where I retired this nick trying to salvage the gaming integrity I had built up as an OOB/TO&E smythe.

You'd do well to ponder what your purpose is here on the forums. My own is to have some fun, learn some things, and put out data. Yours seems to be as self-appointed "quality control" for an entire gaming company's membership.....well to be fair only the portion of it you don't happen to be a fan of or that are unknown to you.

as to your 'ignore' exhortations, I'll simply say there is no need to put YOU on "ignore" there is such a paucity of content and meat in your posts they hardly stick at all chumley.

regards,
sven

a tad less subtle a dig than mine, but....

Nah be fair Glenn just has an unhealthy love of all things USMC, and is shrill as can be and probably not emotionally disposed to be a mod.

God knows I am not either. Les is a work of art, but Terminal is not as overtly egotistical as he is. I'd peg him somewhere between Les and a few other posters. Stultus Saxum is a varied breed.

Come on. A guy with 18k+ posts in less than 2 years (most of which consist of a one line insult) calling "spam" just can't be resisted.

Besides which, 'the community" should step in when a new poster gets stomped on.

indeed, and my main reason for mentioning it.

Terminus bothers me most because of this particular quirk in his behavior. I switched back to this nick to, perhaps, grant him some 'perspective' on "community" and the fact he is hardly an "old hand" when he is lecturing some of us.

Gee nicely hidden garbage. Cue Doogie to object.

But when is anyone going to draw some simple easy conclusions.

1. Les hasn't posted on his forum in YEARS (that being Doogies place). In any capacity.

2. Les likely loses no sleep over the actions of others that DO like to post at Doogie's. Doogie's grief is his problem.

3. blaming Les for all of Doogie's grief while comical, doesn't put Les in any danger, as Les isn't responsible.

Now if Les wanted to build up a case for widespread slanderous assaults HE likely has a case. Les just doesn't appear interested.
