Newbie in need of help

Post by keithblythe »

I just recently purchased the game. I have created a league using U.S. rules and completed the draft. I loaded some plays from FBMAX and started a quick game with two of the teams. I noticed the following issues:

1) The computer controlled team attempted 4 fake punts (out of 8 punts total)

2) On three of the fake punts, they ran past the first down marker (should have been a frist down) but I received the ball each time. I received the ball at the incorrect yardline. One time the punt was tackled at their own 30 yard line (should have been a first down for the computer team). I got the ball at my own 30 yard line.

3) I had a missed pass attempted behind the line of scrimmage is call a fumble (which is correct). I was awarded a first down

Are these known issues?

P.S. I am enjoying the game despite the occasional bug or quirk

Hi..

Welcome aboard.

1) The computer controlled team attempted 4 fake punts (out of 8 punts total)

If you're using downloaded plays and playbooks, then the playbooks define when the CPU will run a fake. I would suggest contacting whomever created the playbook. They've probably not set up the play situation properly.

2) On three of the fake punts, they ran past the first down marker (should have been a frist down) but I received the ball each time. I received the ball at the incorrect yardline. One time the punt was tackled at their own 30 yard line (should have been a first down for the computer team). I got the ball at my own 30 yard line.

Yes, this is known and has been addressed.

3) I had a missed pass attempted behind the line of scrimmage is call a fumble (which is correct). I was awarded a first down

Yes, this is known and has been addressed.

Keith,

Welcome to the Maximum-Football community!

As far as I know, these are known issues, and they have been addressed.

By the way, if you have a fake punt in your playbook, you should have some plays that combat it in the playbook as well.  If you do not, you may want to remove the fake punt as a fairness issue.

On a rule note, missed passes behind the LOS are fumbles only if they are behind the passer, but I understand your point.

Thank you for posting.

This is happening now in games I let the CPU play out. Version 2 with the update. So has it ever really been fixed, or was it fixed but has returned?
