campaign points scoreing?

Post by Riun T »

upon going threw the saved battles of the flashfyre effort, I knoticed that I regularly got 3 points for the victorious ones whether or not they were MV,or DV.
No points for draws,? even if your side still holds VH's ??
I am hopeing someone can explain what perameters the AI uses to come up with its score and IF casualties play any part in the scoreing??

You get 1 point for a marginal victory.
You get 3 points for a decisive victory.
You get 0 points for a draw.
You lose 1 point for a marginal defeat.
I don't remember how many points you lose for a decisive defeat.

thanks much sir, so I guess casualties have no bearing ? which is strange considering the AI credits exited units after turn 25 to the delaying force,? or at least thats how I took it to mean from the manual?

Now you know why I was advocating my "German Long Campaign Extreme Campaign" all those months ago.  I wanted to change the way campaigns were scored.  Now you know why.  I had come up with a superior solution for campaign scoring but nobody was interested.  That solution is still superior, but still nobody is interested.

Casualties play a part in the actual scoring. The campaign does not credit "retreated" units with any point value; only if the campaign used the Exit Victory Hex flags would that work. But that's a "special" VH flag that only applies to Scenario Design.
