A modern day geopolitical game request!

Post by Martiallaw »

Hi,

I request Matrix to create a game representing the modern day geopolitical world. I have played both Superpower 1 & 2 as well as Supreme Ruler 2010 but they suck. I have also heard about a French company making such a game named "Mission President GPS" but I dont think they would be able to make it right. I have confidence in Matrix and I request them to please create such a game. Thanks[:)]

The geopolitical situation isn't as interesting since the collapse of the Soviet Union . . . but in a couple of years China should emerge as a superpower.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Are you kidding? The multi-polar world is much more "interesting" since the Soviet Union disappeared...

Well when the Soviets still existed - only lunatics like Reagan and Thatcher had their fingers on the nuclear button.  Now Iranians will get them, thats no big deal those guys are no threat to anybody [8|]

Modern geopolitical game seems like very VERY hard task to do right, and is obviously not as sexy as good ole proven WW2.

For what is worth I think Supreme Ruler 2010 was very good, and I can hardly imagine more ambitious modern geopolitical game (that would actually work [:D])

I don't know what would please the original poster if he was disappointed with SP2010. Modern "multi-polar", asymertical and whatnot, situation cannot be represented by something as simple as, say, GG WaW (we all wish it could)

Superpower was a good try...
