Total victory condition option

In regards to the new optional option Total victory where u now need 48 VP to win.
I found that the "old" condition that if the difference is 32 VP or larger u win too. I'd say that should be changed too a larger number with the Total victory option. Its almost impossible not to hit the 32 difference alot before hitting 48 VPs.
