Splitting containers

Post by pzpat »

The North has moved in the Shenandoah Valley. The ANV is in Fredericksburg. I want to send the ANV with two corps into the Valley to chase them out, and leave the third corps where it is. I can't seem to separate the third corps from its parent formation, the ANV, without moving it into a neighboring province, moving the ANV into the Shenandoah, and then moving the third corps back to Fredericksburg. Or I could move the whole thing to the Shenandoah and then move the third corps back separately, which would accomplish the same thing. I wouldn't complain publicly except that for the South supply is short and the needless movement burns supply points.
Is there any way to separate the subordinate formation from the parent formation without moving it into another province?
I had said in an earlier post that the computer notified me that Beauregard had died in battle. It's okay, the next turn he showed up with the 12th division in WVA.

Alt-Left Click on the container you want to separate when you're looking at the full ANV unit list.
