Units reappearing in Brisbane

In the longer UV scenarios w/2.5, I have occaisionally experienced the following: some Allied units sent by air to other bases display a msg that the subunits have joined together -- after the last C-47 arrives -- then the whole unit disappears from base only to reappear at either Brisbane or Noumea.

This may be related to the bug re captured ships reappearing in enemy home pots.

I wonder if there is also a link to those parts of a unit ( tractors, heavy artillery, whatever ) which remain at base & cannot transfer by air to another base. Just a further idea for Mr Wood to consider, although I think your suggustion is more likely.
