David, a couple questions about Career Play

I have a fresh install with the most recent update

First, I was using the MIL to check out how the game handles expansion, drafts, etc....and had trouble with an expansion team not showing when I created it, but it did show after hitting new season, but wasnt in the draft order. And after the listed teams drafted, I would get an error saying the new team couldnt be found in the database.
I did the same test on a newly created league and had no problems at all. It even set the draft order with expansion first/league champ last. Could it be the default leagues may now have some issues? I did reset the MIL prior to all this. Just wanted to point this out in case new players think its the game as a whole, which it isnt.

Now the questions.

1.)Are the players the league generates at the beginning of every season the sum total we have to work with for that year?

2.)Do Free Agents age and retire as they sit in the FA pool?
Are they randomly replaced?
Or is it wiped clean each season and a new batch added?

Yes, plus whatever players were generated in previous years. Each year new players are generated and those are added to the previous years unclaimed players.

Retired players are free agents but they're marked as retired. They're 'replaced' at the beginning of a season when the new draft eligible players are generated.
