Surrounded units and Supply

Battlefront features the power of battalion-level combat in some of this period's most bloody and intense conflicts: Saipan, Market Garden, Novorossisk, and Gazala. Players will have realistic control over their soldiers, with a tactical scale just large enough to make a telling difference in the strategic picture.

Surrounded units and Supply

Post by Snowbart1943 »

I have surrounded a few enemy units, just a few km's behind my front line. I am curious if that sense these units are relatively close to the front, could they be receiving Defensive Supply from one of their supply trucks broadcasting supply into that area, even though they are completely cut off?

Along this same line of thinking.....could they also be receiving Attack Supply from an HQ units which broadcasts into this surrounded hex?

Thanks!

They have to get normal supply before attack bullets can be restocked. Not likely for either to happen if cut off. The exception would be if the units were in a hex with supply source (i.e. a dump or strongpoint) and the frontline was close then it is theorhetically possible to get more attack bullets. Certainly a situation like Bir Hachiem allows resupply of attack bullets while the units are cut off.
