error in intelligence report

Post by crocodile »

I play the 1.5 WIP version, with 1.8.001 patch, the scenario is "the War in the Pacific" (full campaign), as the Japan.

Here is my problem : after a naval battle where I win and sank several ships (2 CA, 2 CL and 4 DD), I had a look in the Intelligence Report and Ship sunk list : the 2 CA (Pensacola and Cornwall) are not among the CA/CL allied sunk ships !
To verify I reload the game as Allied player and Japan computer and in the Intelligence Report => Ship sunk list the 2 mentioned CA are reported sunk.
In fact there are more problems that I did not see before, as the in the Intelligence Report shows :
=>game load as Japan player
points for sunk allied ships = 1380 (94 allied ships sunk)
point for sunk japanese ships = 1854 (225 jap ships sunk)
=> game load as allied player
points for sunk allied ships = 1911 (147 allied ships sunk)
point for sunk japanese ships = 1854 (225 jap ships sunk)

What happens ? Is it possible to fix that problem and continue to play with the right amount of points ?

Sometimes there will be a time delay of up to 3 months for ship sinkings.

FOW (fog of war) switch must be on. The sunken cruisers will show up after a bit but it may be a month or so of game time before they do. Don't be betting your last dime on the results you see in an air to air combat report either, however the total a/c lost by type on any given day are accurately reported.

Ok, I will keep an eye on that in the next month !
But, I can understand it's an effect of the fog of war when the ships sink several hours or days after the battle when trying to reach a port.
In the case I tell about the 2 CA sank during the battle so I suppose it might be a direct evidence by all the "eyewitness" (my own ship crews), not just an assumption about ennemy ships hardly damaged breaking the battle.

Thank you
