DirectX errors

I'm trying to install DirectX (not sure which I think its 7) and I get error code 14 as soon as I start the install procedure.

Does anyone know what error 14 is and where a list of errors is? I've tried the MS KB & DirectX pages without success,

Hi Larry

You know, microsoft's help files actually contain useful information sometimes...when you find them. :)

According to them an error code 14 means that you are trying to install on a system which has same or later version already installed.
