PBEM- failure to load

I have a problem. Having playe steel 2 and 3 I am a great fan of the game.

Currently have version 4.4 loaded and I can not understand this difficulty. I send my mate in budapest the files by e-mail.

He loads them plays and sends them back. I can NOT load them what ever I do.

Whent I try to load I get the very brief message

"player 2 system corrupted"

Help. I have reinstalled any ideas...

Which versions of the game are you and he using? - I advise upgrading to the latest version.

Addendum!

I have managed to squint close enough to work out the actual error message is

"Security violation: Player 2 system corrupt".

My mate is player two.. and have asked him to reinstall this may solve the problem (and yes we are both playing V4.4)
