Another MC Problem

Post by Tiger »

My problem with MCNA is similar, but slightly different than those previously mentioned.

I am running W2k on a P3 667 mhz, 128mb RAM, with over 5gb of available HD space. I have not encountered any problems with SPWAW 6.1 while playing scenarios or campaigns.

When playing the MCNA, I successfully completed the first battle. When trying to access the second battle, I could click on the start battle button, the screen would flicker and show the map in the lower right hand corner, and stay at the deployment screen. I exited, rebooted, and was given a decisive victory even though I had not played a turn. I was able to fight a third battle, but on the fourth battle I encountered the same problem, stuck at the deployment screen.

I have not deleted or modified any files. I have re-installed SPWAW & MCNA, along with upgrading to 6.1.

Some things you can try that have helped some gamers is: Turn the soundtrack off in pref screen, play with Command and Control off, after first scen exit the game delete the steel.prf file in the /save directory restart game and continue from last save.

Here's an update for all of you that might have been as frustrated as I was with the MC. I took the advice of gmenfan and it worked!! I played all weekend without incident. I am into my 4th battle without a glitch.
