Mega campaign #2 Install Question

Post by Major Mayhem »

I have just recently discovered SPWAW and dearly desire to play. However the location in which I resided does not have commercial cable/dsl available (27 hours to download 6.1 ) and personal use downloads are verbotten at my office (security issue). So the question I have is does MC#2 have a install size option? This is related to the circumstance that my personal desktop is old(only have appx. 100Mb avail. for SPWAW) and that my personal laptop has issues with running windowed DOS and DOS mode programs.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Time to add another hard drive, SPWAW with the megacampaign takes up approx 1 gig of hard drive space. As for your laptop, SPWAW is now a windows program. There is no way to run it from a dos prompt, the optimum system to run it on is win98se. That way you avoid the problems in win95 and the incompatibility with c&c turned on with win nt and me (or was it 2000?).

By the way I spent 32 hours downloading SPWAW v1.0 back last year, and have thought it was the best program I ever downloaded. I don't regret letting my computer spend that time at all. Most of it I was asleep or at work.
thanks, John.

Choose the Ignore, or continue option. I think that there was a thread on this when the M/C came out. AFAIK, this won't affect game play. You might want to download the M/C patch from one of the fan sites listed under links.
