secure PBEM slots

secure PBEM slots

Is there a way to use more of the many save slots above #12 to save a secure PBEM game?
It seem like a lot of wasted save slots.

Big Bill, AFAIK you can't use any of the slots above 12 for PBEM games. But, IIRC, you can use the PBEM program to play more than one game in the same slot. If I'm wrong, hopefully someone will correct me. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Sorry, but i'm new to this and still don't understand.I believe I heard someone saving secure pbem games in the same save slot. Could it be as simple as saveing as slot 7 and slot 7b etc.?

No,it's even simplier:you can play as many pbem games as you wish in the same slot.When you receive the move for,let's say slot 7,you unzip it and copy it in pbem directory;this will overwrite the files with the same name in there.
Then you start yr pbem game and that's it.
The most difficult thing is to keep track who are you playing against in that moment;you should keep a written note of the people you are playing in that slot and against who the move you're playing in that moment is.
The risk to mix things is high,ask Drex for infos <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

Alternatively, you can play as many UNSECURE pbem's as the save slots are...

Big Bill, go to this site and download the PBEM manager program. PBEM Manager
There are instructions for installing and using the program.

Thank's all, it make's sence..... but it bring's up another question.....how do I find the time to play 12+ game's at a time without " wifey " catching me??????

Hmm,Matrix is still working at "debugging" this issue,patch hopefully available fall 2010 <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
