UFO: Extraterrestrials is a futuristic real-time/turn-based strategy blend set on the fictional planet of Esperanza in 2025. One really has to be nostalgic to buy this game...
The gameplay though is good.

Nope. you can change the resolution to whatever you want. I use 1280 x 1024

How do you do that ? I cannot find any possibility in the "options" menu...

open up the ufo-et.ini file in notepad ,which is in the data folder of your game folder, look for length and height and change them to the resolution you want.
Gen. Montgomery: "Your men don't salute much."
Gen. Freyberg: "Well, if you wave at them they'll usually wave back."

what others settings are possible ?  (sorry, i'm no modder  [:(]

Anything your monitor can handle(mines at 1152x864), but I'm pretty sure you've got to keep the aspect ratio at 4:3

Mines an LCD at 1600x1200 20" and it works great! I just set the height and width settings.

I set mine at 1680x1050 and it looks great.
