Help with SPWAW on W2k

I have had SPWAW 6.1 working on win2k for about 6 months now. I recently had a crash of the game when I minimized it (I had been minimizing before with no problem) and now the game plays the opening scene and exits back to the desktop. I did a reinstall over the existing copy and that did not fix the problem. Can anyone help me here.

Running on a PIII, 750 mhz, 128mbRAM.

Happens with other apps open and with nothing open in a fresh boot.
