How far?

Battlefront features the power of battalion-level combat in some of this period's most bloody and intense conflicts: Saipan, Market Garden, Novorossisk, and Gazala. Players will have realistic control over their soldiers, with a tactical scale just large enough to make a telling difference in the strategic picture.

How far?

Post by tevans6220 »

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'd like to know how far back or ahead into the future is this system capable of with realistic results? I've been thinking of doing a Spanish-American War scenario and possibly the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Is it possible to do these scenarios in the Battlefront system? Or is this system more conducive to just World War 2 type scenarios? Just thought I'd ask before I jump headfirst into something that may not work all that well.

The game's engine (scenario design kit) is flexible enough to handle just about any time period. Pre-WW II works really well. Post WW II will also work. The closer to WW II, the better I expect things to work (or at least the scenario designer has an easier go of using the editor).

The "Editor" must be really hard to work with. I haven't seen any scenario's yet wtih an AI?? We have much more to choose from with the DB Series...

The editor isn't hard to use at all...  its a lot like using Excel or Powerpoint... once you figure out what you're doing the program is very powerful and relatively easy to use... .  Large scenarios are a bit of work though.

AI is new, just a matter of working with it.
