Game won't install after uninstalling.

I put this post on the regular forum first until I saw it probably should go here. I was trying to get Bman's mods feature installed and it corrupted my game and it would not even execute after that. I unistalled the game and am now trying to install again. The install just hangs with an hourglass and the system says 'not responding'. I have restarted the computer and tried many times with the same result.

Hi, looks like the uninstallation process was not complete.


1. Check if the uninstall was complete by nrowsing to the former installation directory of TOAW3. If the directory still exists manually delete the installation folder of UFO.
2. Hit "START -> Run..." In the dialog type regedit and click "Okay". The registry editor will come up.
3. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Matrix Games in the registry editor
4. Check if there still is an directory called "UFO Extraterrestrials". If yes, delete it. If not close the registry editor. Make 100% sure you ONLY delete the directory called "UFO Extraterrestrials".
5. Reboot and reinstall, make sure you have virus scanners or other security software turned off during the installation. They can interfere with installers.

I looked at the registry and I didn't see UFO there. In fact, I didn't see any of my matrix games there, so that was definitely a problem. I ran registry mechanic and it repaired my regtistry so now I see the other Matrix games, and then I was able to install UFO again..
