Can't extract downloaded file

Post by turn2 »

Hello,

I have downloaded the game but when I try to extract, get the message “cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive”. I have downloaded again using a download client and still get the same message. I have done a disk cleanup to clear windows temp folders and cleared my browser’s cache. Still the same problem. Starting to get frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.

That unfortunately really sounds like you keep getting a corrupted download. Have you been able to download other large files without problems in the past? The file the server is sending you is fine, so it must be getting corrupted somewhere along the way. Have you tried www.stardownloader.com yet?

Hello Erik,

thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the answer to both of your questions is yes. Not sure what else to try =[

If you have troubles downloading large files then we suggest you use a download client like "Stardownloader" available for free from www.stardownloader.com . It will let you resume disconnected or broken downloads. You can even pause them and resume them whenever you want.

I assume that your download chache did not clear properly. This can happen pretty often, the solution woul dbe to clear your browsers cache and the  Windows TEMP folder  (best done via Windows "Disk Cleanup" feature.

You can retrieve the link at any time in a time frame of 30 days from the point of purchase (please note that the 30 days is only "official", "unofficially" it should never expire . Please go to our E-Store and click on "Store FAQs" , there check the "I need help downloading." link.  Or go to www.findmyorder.com and enter your order number and password.
