SPWaW v6.1 Sound Problems

I'm running SPWaW under Win2k. Once upon a time there was an error message "Not enough virtual memory". I fixed this problem with a memory manager, but when I play the game and there are a lot of tanks or something moving on the map and each one is playing its sound, my soundcard screams and i got no sound anymore. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
Sysinfo: PII 400, Win2k, SB 128, 128 MB RAM, Matrox Millenium G200
