AP Remaining

When you go to move a soldier, the cursor show how many action points it will take to get there. Is there any way to change that to show how many AP's you will have remaining when you get there?

I don't believe so. However, if you use Bman's Ease of Use mod, there is a feature where you can set to reserve enough APs for various actions like aimed shot, snap shot or whatever.

I read all about this Mod and it sounds great (makes the game a little more like the original.  Only one problem, I can't figure out where to get it from!

OK.  I'm kinda embarassed here.  I read that thread about, well, a dozen times before I found the little "download here" link.

DOH.

BTW, like an idiot, I started the game on Normal Mode.  I'm a man.  I played X-Com and TFTD.  I don't need no stinking Easy mode.

Yep.  Gettin' my butt kicked up one side and down the other.

Thanks for the link to the mod! I installed and tried it last night. Nice mod! I couldn't find where you save AP's in combat though.
And emarksmi, you are so right. I was playing the sager mod and usually I would get through a mission will all but one or two people. With this mod, I only had one or two people survive! The aliens were using grenades like crazy!

Just to the left of your 'left hand' box for your soldiers there are 4 icons in a vertical row. From top to bottom, they represent aimed shot, snap shot, burst shot and kneel. So if you click the top button and the bottom button, your soldier will retain enough AP at the end of your move to issue a kneel command, and still have left over to take an aimed shot. Do be warned, however, that it is not perfect, in that it takes APs to turn, so if you end your move facing the wrong direction, you may not have enough APs to turn to the right direction and then take the shot you want.

Funny, it "worked" like that in original XCOM ! [:D]
