Transfers

How does teh dynamix campaign determine when you are able to transfer command to a destroyer or frigate group? I'm currently a full commander on around day 14 of the first campaign adn that option is still unavailable. I did have another run through where on day 4 I was able to get into a destroyer. Any comments?

Are you trying to transfer directly to one of the assets (i.e, clicking the ship's name itself), or are you trying to select the group and transfer directly to the group?  Only the former works, to my knowledge, but then again I haven't been playing lately (I have to reinstall my Saitek X45 drivers).

I'm attempting to transfer to the group. I did it once in the campaign, deleted my pilot restarted and now I'm 4 times deeper inthe campaign, having had the majority of the same cutscenes and still can't get the transfer to ungrey out.

Try transferring to the ship itself. AFAIK, you can only transfer to a squadron for a fighter. For capships, you need to choose a specific ship to take over.

Again, take it with a pinch of salt -- it's been a while since I've played.
