Computer playing both sides

Post by Kadste »

I would like to run a game of WITP for a couple of years and then take over from one side, let's say from the beginning of 1943 on. So I would like to set "Both Computer" from the start, then interupt in 1943.

When I set "Both Computer" in the main menu, the game runs for 1 turn then provides me with the Japanese player menu to do a turn manually. I am using version 1.806.

Can this game run with the computer controlling both sides?

In encircled ground, devise strategems;
In death ground, fight."

yes,

in the prefernces, put the turn cycle on "Continuous"

Then turn off combat reports and combat animations. It also speeds things up if you set all msg delays to 0.1 (lowest setting)

To interrupt game play (to input orders) hit the F9 key.

Alternatively, scenarios 10 to 14 are full campiagns but with start dates that vary between June 42 to Jan 45. Maybe you could play one of those?
