Special unit functions...

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Special unit functions...

Post by wild_Willie2 »

Hi there,

Just started playing SpWaW and was wondering what the exact functions are of "special" units:
maint. teams, ammo canisters, corpsmen etc, etc.....

Ammo canisters give ammo, but the exact functions of maintenance teams (speed up repair?) and corpsmen (moral boost ?)
In vinum illic est sapientia , in matera illic est vires , in aqua illic es bacteria.

In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is strength, in water there are bacteria.

wild_Willie2,

As far as I know, maintenance units and corpsmen units have no special abilities.

My suggestion is to visit the SPWAW Depot at spwaw.com and join the Depot Academy.  There are some veteran and expert players over there who can provide valuable information and help you learn.  The Depot Academy has a training curriculum consisting of a number of tutorial scenarios that you will find useful.

I don't believe there are any "special" units in the game itself; however, scenario designers do occasionally rename regular units to "maintenance teams" or "corpsmen", but these units have no "special" abilities. They are just renamed to add "flavour" to that particular scenario.
