Battleships

Friends,

When do the battleships appear? I have been assaulting battlecruisers and bases for months, but no BB's have shown up. Is there a trigger event? I tried leaving the alien bases alone for a few months but that didn't attract any BB's. I love racking up the dollars and killing the bad guys, but I want to move on toward completion.

Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

Eventually they do. I don't know what the trigger is. I'm in my second game and I'm doing the same as you. Racking up money and experience while waiting for the BBs to show up.
Of course, be careful what you wish for.[;)]

The answer to this seems to still be somewhat debatable as it's based on several variables.

The BB's showed up in May of 2110 and I was able to complete the campaign wiithin a couple of months after that. Kind of a bittersweet ending, if you know what I mean, but the game overall is the best I've played in a long time. Now, I have to try it on a harder level.

They finally showed up for me too. Their first appearance was a terror mission. Just building the rest of the space ship now.
