Where to buy BTR and BoB these days?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Where to buy BTR and BoB these days?

Post by Gargantou »

Does anyone have any idea where I can buy these games these days?
I've always been a huge flight simulator fan ASWELL as a wargamer fan and these old gems really caught my eye, I've looked on eBay but havent found anything!

I'd really appreciate any help I can get on this topic, in await of MatrixGames release!

Do you particularly want BoB? Because there is BoBII out now, with a very recent (excellent) patch just released with improved AI, graphics etc. Lots of info on Shockwave forums and at SimHQ.

It is sold in stores or by download from Shockwave. I had seen in a newsletter a long while ago that Matrix was going to sell it also...but that somehow never seems to have come to anything.

Hi Hartford688,

do not confuse Talonsoft BoB with Rowan BoB !!

The BoB we are talking here in this sub-forum is the ex-Talonsoft BoB
it is a pure strategy game and not a FlySim !!!

Aha, confusion. I know this forum is for the ex-Talonsoft game (I will be flying in 41 squadron [;)]) but I thought he was referring to tracking down the Rowan flightsim as he specifically mentioned being a huge flightsim fan. My bad.

For a flightsim fan and strategy fan, BoBII is worth checking out as wellwhile waiting for this Matrix game, however.

Ah no, I'm sorry I should have been more precise, I'm looking for the TalonSoft strategy games, the ones this game is based off, I've always longed for a decent flight strategy game so!

And by the way, yes I do have BoB2, actually bought it yesterday, have 2.06 the internet delivery version, sadly for me it seems buggy as hell.. airplines wings constantly clip in the air yet theres no damage, and currently I cba to post at the Shockwaves Forum.

Does no-one know? Sorry for double post but I'm so desperate to get to try these games out!

I'm a huge fan of Grigsby's Pacific War and War in Russia and having a game from him focused solely on aircombat would be sweet!

Maybe someone has one left on the board,
but other than that it is only ebay
or waiting until the new improved version is ready....

D'oh again by me...I should have recognised your name over at SimHQ.

Sorry to see the problems you're having - hope it gets fixed soon.
