I'm seriously thinking about trying to do a mod of my own but I have NO experience at "from scratch" modding.

The first thing I want to try is working on my own art work. I have fooled around a little bit in other games so I'm not a total newbie. However, I believe in going to the experts first. What do all of you art work modders use to create your art? Specifically what software and how user friendly is it.

Okay, that gave me some ideas. How do I go about editting HEX files? I need to change the supply pathways and such.

Use WITP Editor.

I can use the WITP editor to change the roads and railways? I thought I would have to edit the PWHEX file to do that.

Well - yes and yes. That is, edit PWHEX in this editor - the easy way to do it. Unless you write your own editor (and those I know of are not loaned out) - the only other way is with WITP Excel.

I have WITP Excel saves for all RHS pwhex files if you want one.

Hold on! WHat editor are we tlaking about? The editor that comes with the game or some other editor.  B/c I didn't know it was possible to open the PWHEX with the WITP scenario or database editors.
