I did not know this!..At least one floating dry dock was there..It was towed all the way from New Orleans. Check out the pointed bow and stern..

The USS Shaw was in that drydock when it exploded and sank. Maybe one of the most famous and well know photos of the attack.

Apparently that famous dry dock pic was the older, permanent dry dock, it was dry dock#1..

If you look to the right portion of the picture you can see the bow (or is it the stern) of, I believe, the USS Nevada making a break for it.
