can a Cap from a Carrier TG be sent to cover another TG (say an invasion TG)

say you have a TG within a few hexes of the carrier and you want to protect it...

AP514

You can't directly fly CAP except over its parent carrier. However, it can range out to a maximum of 3 hexes - 60 nm - from the carrier depending on the radar values of the TG. Late war US CAP will do this, early war CAP is much more restricted.
