Beginner looker for PBEM

Post by balto »

Hi, I downloaded this 3 days ago. Man, this game wrecked my whole weekend, my eyes are bleeding, and I have to go to work tomorrow! I have been showering and eating, so I am not that bad.., I think...

With that said, I understand a lot of the rules and I want to play someone who is NOT a stone cold veteran. I do not mind losing, but I do not want to get raped. I still do not understand all of the combat mechanics, but I get the general jist. And I need to learn and see what a human will do.

So with that said, I have been practicing as the Axis with FOW on and Advanced Supply ON. Nothing else changed. So it is basically the way the game should be.

I already did my first turn and saved it and I am the Axis (that is I know). I am a little foggy on saving in PBEM. There are two files, a .tsv and .psv. Do I send both. Also, that Console thing. I think I got it right.., but if it shows up as a re-save, can you let me know. There was an AUTOSAVE I think that created two files: wawgoldtempsave.tsv and a wawgoldtempload.tsv. I assume I do not send this to my opponent.

I would greatly appreciate an opponent.

You only need to send the *.psv file [:)]

Best of luck to you. Well, not really, I wish me the best of luck.  You get my drift [;)].

I sent you the turn.  Hey, if someone else challenges me, can I use the first turn on other games when I am Axis?  Or will that screw things up?  Because I was thinking, man, I could play an Allied first turn and then I would never have to re-think my opening moves..,ever.  And thinking is something I hate doing.

So can I keep re-using my first turns?

Thanks to all

Sure you can keep your first Axis move and send it to your opponent whenever you start a new game, just make sure it's a good Axis opening. The one you sent me has things to be improved as you allready know [;)]. Bty I was thinking just about the same these last days with another GG's game.
