PBEM basic question

Battlefront features the power of battalion-level combat in some of this period's most bloody and intense conflicts: Saipan, Market Garden, Novorossisk, and Gazala. Players will have realistic control over their soldiers, with a tactical scale just large enough to make a telling difference in the strategic picture.

PBEM basic question

Post by iaidoka2 »

I feel like a real noob for asking this - I am trying to start playing a PBEM game using Brubaker's Crusader scenario. My opponent is playing Axis and he has sent me the secure email file. What am I supposed to do with this as I do not seem to get anywhere whenever I try and open it. When I first opened it, it said there was a difference in the terrain.bfs file and I couldn't access the try anyway button.

I think I am missing something so basic and fundamental but can't think what it is.

Thx for any help.

Save the file in the Battlefront\Save Email\ Play directory, then launch the game and you should be able to play your first turn by selecting Load email game at the bottom of the screen.

just double click the .bfi ( i believe its .bfi extension ) file your opponent sent you (save it to your secure folder ofcourse :) and the game will load.

Some good advice on getting started above. Think your problem is version of scenario being used (not being the same).

There is an update out for Crusader. Make sure you and your opponent are using the newer version.

Also note, the not same version problem can be caused by a player opening a scenario in the editor and then saving... Built in precaution to ensure everyone gets to play with the same scenario capabilities.
