Drect fire at one hex range ?

Battlefront features the power of battalion-level combat in some of this period's most bloody and intense conflicts: Saipan, Market Garden, Novorossisk, and Gazala. Players will have realistic control over their soldiers, with a tactical scale just large enough to make a telling difference in the strategic picture.

Drect fire at one hex range ?

Post by foxtrot »

So far I've only been able to use direct fire against a qualifying target at a range of two hexes. When I try to use DF at a one hex range I get the close combat icon cursor. Has anyone else had this problem or am I missing something ?

Your experience is exactly how the game works.

There is a button which I call the Artillery Combat button.  When I press this I can see which targets are currently available for my artillery.

It would be handy if there were a “Direct fire” button.  Then I could see which units are currently eligible for direct fire.

Don't quote me either but I think when you select a unit capable of direct fire, the available targets are highlighted some way ... going from memory I think the target unit's graphics brighten or something like that.
